Virtual Terminal

have developed multiple ways to process credit card payments. This functionality includes a
computer based virtual terminal that allows you to process credit and debit card payments from your desktop
or laptop computer. This means you no longer need to rent a dedicated Chip and
PIN terminal or PDQ machine. The Virtual Terminal is primarily used to process call centre or mail order credit card payments. Office based Chip and PIN terminals are expensive and pointless if
the card holder is not present because you are unable to take advantage of the
additional security functionality offered by Chip and PIN.
The Virtual Terminal comes in two forms.
Either a browser based interface accessible from any browser or alternatively, a more sophisticate desktop computer application that allows you to email or post payment receipts directly to your customers.
Any transactions you processed are available in a powerful Merchant Administration system that
can also be used to process refunds and reconcile your credit card transactions with your banks card statement.
Using the Virtual Terminal removes the requirement to rent a stand-alone terminal from the bank, typically saving £18 per month in terminal rental charges and £13 per month in telephone line rental. It is ideal for call centre or mail order credit card transactions.
